The right venue
The right place
The right time...
Formerly The London Sound & Vision Show '08
How true that is!
You can have the best supported show in the land but if the choice of venue leaves visitors and exhibitors disappointed then the show will never excel. Access, style, facilities, service, scope, position and sound quality are critical factors when choosing a venue and last, but not least, long-term stability. The visitors lasting memories relate directly to the venue so that’s why we place so much importance on it.
The Park Inn, Heathrow has also just undergone a major extension which has added a further six top class business suites to this already superb venue which historically has always been linked to Home Entertainment shows and is definitely the preferred venue for exhibitors. This now means that the London Sound & Vision Show has something for everyone with over 45 business suites, 50 large studios and 25 small studios many of which can also be linked, providing almost unlimited growth to the future both to UK and International companies.
“ Audio & AV Show '08 will be the first show of it’s type in the World to launch simultaneously with a parallel Virtual Reality Show, which will mean the Show simply won't close for business!! ”
Apart from the superb access from the M4 for those travelling by car you also have direct access by Train and Plane. Once again the organisers will be securing a dedicated section of the Hotels massive carpark to ensure that the vast majority of visitors will be assured of parking requirements first.
The Audio & AV Show '08 appeals to a broad market and uniquely is the only show to have its own trade day on the Friday which will remain.
Win a complete Hi-Fi system worth over £6,000!

Additional Information
Mr Keith Monks: 1931 – 2005.
The Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machine: 1969 - The Future.
The Absolute Sound
Awarded 1970s/1980s
“AUDIO ACCESSORY OF THE DECADE”
The Keith Monks is the Original Record Cleaning Machine: the world’s first commercially produced electric device for cleaning gramophone records, originally developed by Keith Monks Audio together with BBC engineers in London to meet the exacting standards of radio broadcasting.
Since 1969, experts agree: Keith Monks professional Record Cleaning Machines are the finest solution for the care, restoration and preservation of all sizes and all types of record: 7” 10” 12” and 16” transcriptions, vinyl LP records, 45rpm singles and shellac ‘78s’ (78rpm discs) as well as rare, early, unusual and valuable records such as acetates, lacquers, laminated and vulcanite discs. More than simply removing the distracting surface noise, the same process is world famous for actually enhancing and enriching the quality of the sound – even on brand new discs.
This classic design has stood the test of time and, through all its improvements over the years, remains true to its original concept: the scientifically correct way to clean records. Now re-engineered with a number of new refinements to further improve both form and function, today the whisper-quiet Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machine (‘RCM’) is still regarded by discerning broadcasters, sound restoration engineers, archivists, librarians, audiophiles, hi-fi experts and music enthusiasts around the world as the only serious choice for Precision Record Cleaning, and the standard by which all others are judged.
A piece of audio history, that now looks and works better than ever before. And, when used with the new Keith Monks discovery TM Natural Precision Record Cleaning Fluids, your record transformed into a true collector’s piece – restored, revitalised and, with continued care, preserved for life.
See the legendary Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machine for yourself: the new improved versions, a brand new model and the new Keith Monks discovery TM Natural Precision Record Cleaning Fluids are all being launched exclusively at the London Hifi Show 2008. Bring a record along. See and hear the difference. Try it once and discover why we say, ‘Miracles take a little longer’.

THE AUDIO SHOW TIES UP WITH CLASSIC FM RADIO
Following a very successful promotional
campaign for their Spring High Fidelity Show the organizers of the
AUDIO SHOW have recently agreed a joint marketing partnership with
CLASSIC FM RADIO. This is yet another step towards greater exposure for
this International show, not only in reaching real music lovers but
also and most importantly attracting new visitors by promoting the
magic of High End Audio. “ Using a top class and focused Radio Station
like CLASSIC FM allows us to reach a far greater market but it also
allows us to get a far more informative and up to date campaign onto
the streets much closer to the show says the organizers. Our spring
show also proved that people are travelling greater distances for
events such as this that are so pure in their content and appeal. We
are delighted at the tie up and look forward to working with them”

The brand new 6 PerspeX deck looks no different at first glance. There's the stylish, transparent, acrylic plinth, the substantial, non-resonant platter and a the carbon fibre, single piece tonearm. Perhaps the most eye-catching technology is the magnetic suspension, which allows the turntable and arm to be mounted on a sub-chassis that floats above the plinth thanks to three pairs of aligned magnets. The new Pro-ject 9cc Evolution tonearm is here too, fashioned from a single piece of carbon fibre in an effort to ensure the highest possible build quality and overall rigidity. All this technology, and plenty more besides...

Pro-Ject - RPM 9.1 Turntable
Pro-Ject Audio Systems is currently one of the world’s leading suppliers of record players, with a range of models designed to satisfy all levels of expectation and budget.
Pro-Ject products exhibit sonic performance beyond all expectations normally associated with their price. For more than fifty years record players have been designed and built in Litovel, situated to the east of Prague.
The Pro-Ject RPM9.1 turntable is an analogue-lover’s dream. With features such as a factory fitted Pro-Ject 9cc tonearm (a one-piece tapered 9” carbon-fibre precision tonearm), resonance-optimized granulate-filled plinth and 750g brass record puck this really is vinyl replay at its best!
Unison Research - CDP CD Player
Pure Sound - P10 Phono
The active amplification stages use double triodes in a simple anode follower configuration. The phono equalisation is achieved using passive components and can therefore maintain its accuracy over time without introducing the unacceptable levels of phase shift found in active equalisation stages. There is no negative feedback in the circuit. The P10 phono amplifier meets the very strict performance criteria and will give excellent results with vinyl records provided that it is used.
Sumiko - Blackbird Cartridge
Designed for exceedingly low noise levels, wide dynamic range and the highest possible fidelity in its price class, Blackbird is destined to become an analog classic. Exceptional performance is achieved by the open-generator body design and rigid generator housing that prevents the build-up of both external and internal resonances and that create distortions common to closed body designs. Additionally, a hand-ground elliptical stylus fitted to a Long Grain Boron cantilever provides efficient energy transfer from stylus to coil resulting in superior tracking, extended low frequency response and superior dynamic range. Suitable for use with a wide range of tonearm designs the Blackbird is the latest manifestation of Sumiko’s most recent thinking, listening and refinement of phono cartridge design.
Roksan - M Series Integrated Amp
This allows the amplified signal to be as pure
as possible with a wide bandwidth and very low distortion. Each section
of the circuit board topology is designed to provide optimum
performance.
The high quality motorised potentiometer avoids any imprint on signal and allows fine volume control.
The excellent built in protection circuitry puts the amplifier into
automatic standby and self test mode if the system is inadvertently
shorted. The micro processor and logic controls are on a separate
circuit board mounted behind the front panel and away from the
amplifier section. Powered by its own dedicated regulators, optimum
isolation between logic and music signals is achieved.
The Caspian handles the music with superb composure and control. Its
midrange remains solid at all times whilst the lower frequencies have
bags of punch to produce a deeper and tighter bass.
Terrific definition runs across the frequency range helping to dig up the subtle detail that most amps simply miss.
This amplifier is designed and built to a specification suitable for
use with the best available source and loudspeaker components.
Sonus faber - 'TOY' Speakers
Russ Andrews - Cables
Atacama - Nexus 6 Speaker Stand
Quadraspire - Q4 Equipment Stand
The Q4 Hifi stand is a beautiful and practical modular solution combining shelves with aluminium columns and feet to enhance your sound system both sonically & visually. Q4 Black rack with 140/32mm black columns.
Chester Group would like to say a big thank you to all of the Exhibitors who helped to put this fantastic prize together!
