The National Audio Show 2010 will now be in association with BBC Music Magazine, the UK’s top selling title in this market genre.

NAS burst onto the scene last year having uprooted itself from it’s long term location at Heathrow.

The new venue Whittlebury Hall within Whittlebury Park in Northamptonshire proved an instant success with a record attendance and almost universal acclaim from visitors and exhibitors alike.

So much so that the Organisers: The Chester Group blockbooked the whole Hotel for this years show which will be held on the 25/26 September.

“It is very important to us that this show not only represents some of the very best manufacturers of equipment available but also a celebration of sound and to that end music will again feature very high on our list of objectives, says Roy Bird”

Quality live entertainment will continue to be incorporated into this show and this year we’ll have two concerts not one as we did last year. The Organisers can confirm that Eleanor McAvoy will be the shows guest on Saturday evening the 25th and tickets will go on sale via www.chestergroup.org on the 1.8.10

In addition The Chester Group are putting up the money to provide an opportunity for up and coming talent to perform on the Friday, and again full details will be announced in August.

Extended parking facilities, increased Shuttle Bus service from Milton Keynes, a more diverse range of leisure and eating facilities plus a big increase in exhibitors are all in hand to ensure agreat day out.

Obviously BBC Music Magazine will be inattendance to chat with it’s readers, and hopefully make new friends and readers. Continue to watch for developments in this relationship via both our websites.

HITTING THE RIGHT NOTE

The Crowne Plaza is offering a double room including full Irish Breakfast for €99 or just €60 at the adjacent Holiday Inn Express both of which are in the Park.

ALL IRELAND NATIONAL SOUND AND VISION SHOW

The Chester Group to team up with Richer Sounds Belfast and The Philips Shop Dublin for thevery first National Sound & Vision Show for Ireland.

Says Chester Group Founder Roy Bird. . “now that we have a truly National Show at Whittlebury any other shows that we organize will be Dealer motivated and also have to break into new territories. When we moved the Autumn show from Heathrow to Northants the overwhelming reward was a substantial new footfall which of course is what everyone wants . . if you stay in a specific location for too long the visitor volume and interest levels are effected and the whole trade suffers so a show for Ireland is just what’s needed.

"We had shortlisted two two great Hotels but the final decision had to be the Crown Plaza Northwood Park not just because of it’s great location in this wonderful 85 acre Park but it’s superior arterial location, closeness to the Airport and it’s high quality services. John & Ursula who own the Philips and Richer Sound Stores will be great partners and have a huge range of brands to offer this the first National Sound and Vision Show for Ireland.

"News will be added as we develop this event. I’m also pleased to add that Justin my son has been instrumental in getting this event under way and along with the rest of the team is taking a lot of the day to day pressures away from me."
Roy Bird - The Chester Group

There has never been a show like this were the visitor can have exclusive access to every possible driving experience. . from the High Speed Circuit to the near vertical inclines of the off-road experiences.

This is the ultimate Road Test were cars can be tested to the full and without the long arm of the lord intervening! Our new date is the 11th-12th of September, full details are now available at www.motorsliveatmira.org.

FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Hi Show Goers

Following on from our very successful Spring Show at Heathrow ( which you can read about elsewhere ) Whittlebury really is a great show, and it proved that in 2009 with a record attendance and much of that attendance, brand new.  And that’s what we all want and like, new faces to enjoy the latest technology in whatever taste of music you have, be that static or portable.

Whittlebury Hall is a perfect setting for such an important event and adds considerably to the pleasure and perceptions of the products and sounds on show.  So we look forward to another great event which you can read about elsewhere on this website, including advance concession tickets and just how many exhibitors have already booked their rooms, including many new faces.

Happy Show Going.

Chairman.
The Chester Group.

NO
BAD NEWS FROM THECHESTER GROUP

Yet again the London High-Fidelity Show showed no sign of losing its allurewith an attendance almost identical to 2009,
london-highfidelity-logo3d.png
which considering thevery difficult market conditions speaks very highly of the shows marketappeal.

Just short of 1000 visitors came to see the show and we saw a significantincrease in new footfall, together with a significant increase inattendance from Dealerships, which was confirmed by our exhibitors.

Can wethank all those visitors who remain loyal to this very British event andour trade visitors who add such increased potential for all ourexhibitors.  Thankfully the increased parking provisions worked well, and such was the queue on Saturday morning we opened the show at 9.15!!!

As always the Saturday was much busier than the Sunday but this appears tobe a National pattern with shows. Dates for 2011 have already been setas 26/27 March 2011

THE SHOWS KEEP COMING

The Chester Group have never been busier and remains dedicated to the organization of entertaining and great value events.

And shows have never been more popular as we proved with everything we organized in 2009, all of which enjoyedgrowing support from exhibitors both from the UK and overseas which in turn meant growing footfall all round . .  and we intend to build onthat.

Every show we organised in 2009 will reappear in2010 and most of them at the same fantastic venues, that are so key to our events.
