For those who adore great music and want to experience some of the finest equipment available, Meridian will be showing some of its most historic and respected audio solutions in a unique collaboration with the Chester Group, organisers of this long running High End Audio show.
Boasting outstanding design and performance, Meridian’s range of audio solutions challenge conventions and redefine how people experience sound. Utilising modern source material and Hi-Fi electronics, Meridian will bring together the old and the new in a unique event like no other.
As well as some of its latest audio innovations, attendees will be able to witness Meridian’s most powerful reference two channel amplifiers, designed and built to deliver the best possible Hi-Res audio performance from any high-quality passive loudspeaker system. Also, on show will be Meridian’s Ultra DAC, a digital to analogue converter that boasts an extensive list of features and performance enhancing innovations that can transform existing audio systems in a way that, quite simply, is unachievable with normal DACs.
WHERE DID IT ALL BEGIN?
Meridian Audio Ltd was founded by Allen Boothroyd and Bob Stuart in 1977. Boothroyd and Stuart met in Cambridge, where they discovered shared interests and philosophies in audio equipment design. Their first collaboration was on the Lecson hi-fi system, a design so innovative that it is part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
For over 40 years, Meridian has been consistently crafting innovative, elegant, high performance audio solutions for the very best experiences. From its flagship DSP loudspeakers with integrated amplification, to its discreet and powerful range of in-wall loudspeakers, Meridian delivers powerful, easy to install audio systems for home cinemas and whole home solutions.
Meridian’s goal has always been to reproduce the exact sound of the original performance and let nothing else get in the way. Meridian provides more than just a product; it provides an experience.
THE ARCHITECTURAL RANGE
Meridian Audio continues its pioneering legacy with a range of innovative surround sound speaker solutions, pushing the boundaries of how people connect with sound, and changing the way people experience home cinema.
Suitable for a wide range of applications, including in-wall and in-ceiling installations, Meridian Audio’s new Architectural range of loudspeakers incorporates resolution enhancing technologies, creating the ultimate home cinema atmosphere.
The Architectural range includes the DSP520.2 and DSP640.2 In-Wall Loudspeakers, and the DSP320.2 In-Ceiling / In-Wall Loudspeaker. What makes these so unique is their ability to use two-channel, multichannel, or single-speaker systems, whilst consistently performing at a level of quality that far exceeds those usually associated with architectural speakers.
