The original Curvi Model 1v2 (2010) attracted critical acclaim, however, the new model improves on the original in all key areas. The improvements in dynamics, increased detail, off-axis performance, tonal accuracy and transient reproduction are due to the benefits of BMR technology. Improvements in bass reproduction, i.e. greater speed/slam and extension are due to a modified interface between the drive unit and the transmission line and a 197% increase in the radiating area, relative to the JX92S.
The drive unit bezel, which streamlines the interface between the roll surround and the cabinet, can be machined from variety of materials and is available in a range of finishes. Birch plywood and acrylic (any colour available) are the standard options. The standard cabinet finish is semi-matt hand-rubbed acrylic lacquer.
The BMR drive unit selected is the largest available and has been customised for the Curvi. The baffle step equalisation network is built from Mundorf components. Even though these components are constructed to minimise microphonic effects, they are nevertheless compliantly mounted on the board and the board itself is compliantly attached to the cabinet. Internal wiring is supplied by Gekko cables.
Break away from the multi-driver speaker convention and enjoy the coherent and natural flow of music in Room 8a.
