The old and the new in hi fi presented by the company who originally coined the phrase Hi Fi - YAMAHA
With the recent announcement of its new flagship series, Yamaha will be giving Australian audiophiles a sneak peek of the company's new ultra high-end offering at the Australian Hi-Fi & AV Show.
Alongside the acclaimed NS-5000 flagship speakers which wowed audiences at last year’s show, patrons will be afforded the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the new C-5000/M-5000 stereo pre/power combo as well as the much-anticipated GT-5000 turntable – all of which are not scheduled to be officially available in Australia until early 2019.
The new components hark back to the glory days of Hi-Fi when Yamaha were focused at the forefront of innovation and technology in this space. The NS-5000s, although re-worked from scratch with ground-breaking materials and processes, looks reminiscent of the famed NS-1000 speakers which to this day are a much sought-after model in Hi-Fi collectors’ circles.
Likewise, the new GT-5000 looks to continue the Yamaha legacy of its ‘Gigantic and Tremendous’ series turntables. The iconic GT-2000 in particular, served as a landmark turntable of the 80s.
In addition to having the new suite of Hi-Fi gear on display the Australian Hi-Fi & AV Show, will in a nod to the past showcase an exclusive Yamaha Vintage Hi Fi room. Yamaha will be turning back the clock in a second room, giving younger audiences the chance to experience the Hi-Fi of yesteryear with a one-off setup of its classic gear including the much-heralded GT-2000 turntable and NS-1000 speakers, while for those that have been around awhile it provides an opportunity to re-live some wonderful musical memories.
We’re looking forward to it - you will to.
See you at the show
