Yes AUDIO WORLD '12 (or Little Whittlebury as it was referred to over the weekend) was confirmed by both Exhibitors and Visitors to be a success. Moved from its previous location at Heathrow to Oatlands Park Hotel in Surrey, new life was breathed into this long running UK Spring Show.
The single objective for all our shows is to generate new interest says Roy Bird Chairman of the Chester Group, and we think that 'Oatlands' as the new home for AUDIO WORLD is well suited and conducive to that objective.
We want a win win situation for everyone who loves the joy of great music played on great equipment, and the environment and atmosphere of a venue are crucial to that experience, just as we proved with the National Audio Show when it was relocated to Whittlebury Northants, so now does AUDIO WORLD have the same dynamic ambience.
Our shows are never just about overall volume of visitors, that can be the most misleading and distracting of objectives to an experienced organiser; no, what matters above all else are new visitors eager to indulge in the experience . . and we certainly got that this year.
AW will now settle down at Oatlands for a while as it fully capitalises on this new location, but it'll always have in mind the needs to move on when the message has to be further extended.
With sincere thanks to all those visitors who came to see us and those Exhibitors who put their money in the right place. Oh yes and the incredible weather that we were blessed with, plus those beautiful vintage Bentleys that lined up outside the Hotel over the weekend, and of course the great Hotel staff.
Now to concentrate on New York . . . .
