AT SOME OF THE BEST SOUNDING ROOMS IN THE BUSINESS!
After nearly 25 years in the business and over 125 shows under our belt, mother nature did her level best to bring one of our shows to its knees last weekend, namely AUDIO WORLD 2013.
With some of the most severe freak weather this country has ever seen at this time of the year, this really was a case of who could ‘dig themselves out’ to attend the show.
Sadly and frustratingly we had also experienced the highest level of advance ticket downloads, that we’d ‘ever’ had for this show, now in its 13th year!
But still they came in sufficient quantities to ensure business could be done – as did every single Exhibitor, one of whom was faced with 14 foot snow drifts.
So our sincere thanks to all those Exhibitors who made the herculean effort, the loan Editor who in the end had to catch three trains and a 4 hour journey to reach us, and the hundreds of loyal, keen and very friendly visitors who true to the statement ‘the show must go on’ made it all possible.
So a Northern AUDIO WORLD will continue next year, and at around the same date because, at least for us, lightning rarely strikes in the same place twice.

In the large Beijing Suite at Audio World 13, we will be playing performances of iconic music from digital and vinyl recordings through a variety of loudspeaker systems.
Since 2007 brianandtrevors developed a unique appointment-based bespoke audio consultancy situated in a real house on the outskirts of Manchester, with great demonstration rooms, where clients relax, listen and learn the correct and most cost-effective method to invest or upgrade single-room music systems and develop whole-house network music systems. The listening experience, advice, sales, aftercare and music events at brianandtrevors are second to none as many satisfied clients testify. At Audio world ’13, we will be presenting digital, studio master and vinyl recordings through our range of loudspeaker systems driven by Linn Klimax DS, Klimax LP12/KANDID, Klimax Kontrol and Klimax Solos as well as loudspeaker systems driven by Anthem electronics and the new Light Harmonic Da Vinci DAC.
We will also be presenting the first UK preview of the new Adam Audio Tensor Gamma passive loudspeaker.

MCRU announce the launch of the new LDA VDt1 DAC. Designed by Nick Gorham the DAC is DSD ready and handles files up to 24/192 and also will accept 32 bit signals. Using valves and more than 10 power regulations stages the DAC has been designed to get the most from computer audio. The DAC will be running at the show using the MCRU music server running DSD and 24/192 music.

Conventional speakers utilize filters and dampeners to correct distortion and unwanted resonance from inside and outside the cabinet. Hans Deutschs' designs minimize distortion in the first place. Carefully developing an extremely stiff speaker cabinet with custom designed drivers to specifically preclude additional dampening. This frees the drivers to follow the electrical signal without any need for correction.
